Analysis of numbers of births, marriages & deaths - English
Some interesting results emerged from an analysis of the births, marriages and deaths from 1660 onwards by decade for members of the English branches in England (and English citizens who were registered overseas). The information is based on the data held as at November 2025.

It is sad to report that over one third of the deaths or burials in the 1870s were of children of less than 12 months old.
If there is an entry for both a birth and a christening for one person in my list of events then I have only included one of them in the calculations. I have taken the same approach for deaths and burials.
Due to changes in the way that records are now made available to the public I have no data for births and marriages from 2010 onwards.
(For some reason the bar chart for christenings / births won't copy across in the same way as the other two.)
